Flu shots available at Naval Hospital Pensacola
Naval Hospital Pensacola’s shipment of flu vaccines has arrived and will be available at the Immunization Clinic, on an appointment-only basis, beginning Monday, November 5, to all non-active duty area Department of Defense-eligible family members who received their healthcare from the military medical facility.
For eligible patients between the ages of 2-to-49 years of age, the Naval Hospital is offering the live nasal vaccine, known as FluMist.
The inactivated vaccine, known as FluZone, is available to DoD beneficiaries age 50 years of age and older.
Infants between the ages of 6-and-35 months will receive a preservative-free flu vaccine.
Appointment times will be set up for each recipient in order to keep an orderly process. There will be no walk-up appointments.
Appointments may be scheduled by calling (850) 505-7171, and selecting Option #1 for the Pensacola-area appointment listings.
The Immunization Clinic will offer the flu vaccine weekdays, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. beginning November 5.
