NAVAL HOSPITAL PENSACOLA - Rear Adm. Matt Nathan, a former Commanding Officer of Naval Hospital Pensacola, is on a three-day tour of Navy Gulf Coast health facilities.

Nathan, who heads up all of Navy Medicine East at Portsmouth, Va., on Tuesday was at his former command for a pair of ‘Admiral Calls’ and a tour of the Defense/VA Joint Ambulatory Care Clinic.

Accompanying the admiral to the JACC are:

- Capt. Peter O’Connor, former XO of NH Pensacola, and the admiral’s current chief of staff

- Navy Medicine Portsmouth Command Master Chief Sherman Boss

- Capt. Kevin Berry, current hospital commander

- Lt. Joseph Mastrangelo, facilities management at NH Pensacola

Berry explains to the admiral about the distance military students will have to walk to Corry Station’s new clinic - which will be housed within the JACC that is adjacent to the fence, separated by a fence line.
