Crestview Movie Theater Put on Hold

Crestview residents keep asking the question – when will we get a movie theater of our own? The answer is not any time soon.

Although Gene Oliver, president of Destination Heartland, a division of Oklahoma-based RKO, announced plans to build an eight-screen theater in the area in January, he has decided to delay the project.

The plan was to have the theater open and operational by winter; however, no land has been identified and no one seems willing to invest in the project.

Oliver’s company is planning to build five movie theaters. Crestview was once on the top of the priority list, but now it has been pushed to the bottom.
