Shooting victim in serious condition

A man who was shot in the head early Christmas Eve was still alive Tuesday night, according to officials at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola.

Nassario Elicero, 24, was found bleeding from the head just before 1 a.m. Monday at 548 W. James Lee Blvd., according to Crestview police.

Police have arrested 33-year-old J. Jesus Tirado Arreola and charged him with attempted murder. He was found walking from the scene with a .22-caliber handgun.

The shooting occured near the Crestview Inn.
