Crestview man charged with bigamy

A man has been charged with bigamy after lawmen say he married a second wife — and began “shopping for a third,” according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s arrest report.

John Hobert Oldacre III, 24, was arrested Friday and faces felony bigamy charges.

Several family members reported Oldacre’s activity, according to the report.

“He made statements to them that no one was going to stop him from marrying a third time,” the report stated.

Lawmen said Oldacre’s 5-year-old daughter saw “her daddy and two mommies” sleeping in the same bed and that “daddy was going to get her another mommy.”

Investigators found Oldacre, a carpenter, married one woman in 2002 and another in 2006. No dissolution of marriage was filed in either case.

On his arrest report, Oldacre's address is listed as "at large," with a possible residence on MacKenzie Lane.

He posted $500 bond the day of his arrest, according to an official at the Okaloosa County Jail.
