Woman charged for sex with 15-year-old boy

CRESTVIEW — A 26-year-old woman who had sex with a 15-year-old boy was drinking before the incident, investigators say.

Her children were sleeping in another room.

Katherine Pauline Brown of Crestview had been taken to an undisclosed house in the city early Sept. 8 because of her drinking, according to reports from the Abuse Hot Line and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Once there, she saw the 15-year-old sleeping on a couch.

At about 5 a.m., she woke him up and told him to go lay down in his bedroom — which he did, according to the report.

Then she went into his bedroom, laid down next to him and put his hand on her breast.

The incident was interrupted when Brown got up to get one of her children something to drink and put them back to sleep.

But when she came back into the bedroom, she was naked. She put the boy’s hand on her vaginal area and then engaged in sexual intercourse with him, according to the report. She also performed oral sex on him.

Brown admitted the allegations were true in a Sept. 21 interview.

She was arrested Monday and faces felony charges for lewd or lascivious battery.
