Motorcyclist arrested for speed, weapon
LAUREL HILL — At least one of two men who topped 90 mph on their motorcycles on State Road 85 will face felony charges for fleeing an Okaloosa County sheriff ’s deputy.
Elliott Tyler Eiricksson, 27, of Riverview, is charged with aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude.
He’s also charged for carrying a concealed firearm during that felony.
Eiricksson and another motorcyclist were traveling north at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday when a southbound deputy clocked them speeding.
Both tried to elude the deputy after he activated his lights, according to a Sheriff ’s Office report. They traveled through Laurel Hill faster than 100 mph, the report stated.
The other motorcyclist sped out of sight, but Eiricksson came upon slower northbound traffic and pulled over, according to the report. During a search, the deputy found a Glock Model 27 .40-caliber handgun in a leg holster underneath Eiricksson’s pants. The gun was loaded and a round was chambered, according to the report.
Eiricksson is listed with the U.S. Navy Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa. His permanent address is in Crestview.
