Woman charged with hitting man with toy

CINCO BAYOU — A Niceville woman was arrested Saturday after she hit her brother-in-law with a child’s toy, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff ’s Office report.

The woman was visiting her sister on Opp Boulevard in Cinco Bayou when she and her brother-in-law began arguing. The man asked her to leave and she refused.

When the brother-in-law grabbed the woman by her arm to make her leave, she began striking him with her hands on his head and chest, the report stated.

While hitting the man, the woman fell to the ground and grabbed a child’s toy. She stood up and hit him with the toy on his back and arms.

The man was able to push her out the front door.

She then picked up a brick paver in the yard and returned to the home. The man grabbed a hammer to defend himself and she dropped the brick near the front door.

The woman was charged with battery.
