Road work begins in Walton County
C.W. Roberts Contracting Inc. has begun work on State Road 20 in Walton County. The project, which extends from U.S. Highway 331 in Freeport east to State Road 81 in Bruce, consists of milling and resurfacing 9.3 miles of roadway, shoulder work, drainage upgrades, guardrail and bridge rehabilitation, cleaning and replacing bridge expansion joints and placement of new signs and pavement markings.
The $2.7 million project is expected to be complete in the summer of 2008.
Meeting scheduled about possible four-laning
The Walton County Board of Commissioners is holding a special meeting at noon, March 20, at the South Walton Courthouse Annex, 31 Coastal Centre Blvd., in Santa Rosa Beach.
The Commission will be meeting with Rep. Ray Sansom to discuss the four-laning of U.S. Highway 331.
