Transplant funds

Lee Yon needs a kidney and pancreas transplant as a result of diabetes.

A local chapter of the National Foundation for Transplants has been hosting fundraisers for 2˝ years and has raised only $15,000 of the $75,000 needed to cover the costs of the drugs following the transplant.

Yon is at the top of the list and could get a call at any time to go to Gainesville for the transplant.

Donors can visit the organ transplant Web site, click on Make a Donation and reference Lee Yon, or mail donations to NFT, P.O. Box 683, Panama City, FL 32402.
