Technology training for teachers

To help teachers understand and integrate technology in the classroom, the PJC Institute of Corporate and Professional Training is offering online technology courses tailored for educators.

In 2006, 48 percent of teachers reported receiving eight or more hours of professional development in the last 12 months, yet nearly one-fifth of teachers reported receiving no technology training at all, according to Teachers Talk Tech.

Selections include:

· Integrating Technology in the K-5 Classroom

· The Classroom Computer

· Using the Internet in the Classroom

· Guiding Kids on the Internet.

Starting dates are Jan. 19, Feb. 20 and March 19. Cost is $109 per course.
