Learn occupational Spanish at UWF

The University of West Florida will be offering a unique class to get you familiar with Spanish! Occupational Spanish provides communication skills for employers and employees and will be held from Aug. 16 to Nov. 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

UWF’s training is an economical way to learn key phrases needed to perform basic functions safely and efficiently in a variety of occupations. No previous Spanish knowledge is necessary.

Some of the benefits of Occupational Spanish Training are:

Improve communication with Spanish-speaking clients, customers, co-workers, and/or patients.

Improve workplace safety.

Take advantage of cost-effective training.

Project a positive image to the Hispanic community.

Increase awareness of the Hispanic culture for improved inter-cultural relationships.

The class will be taught by Gonzalo Mejia, E-Pro, CNS, TRC, a broker associate with Coldwell Banker JME Realty and a member of the National Association of Hispanics Real Estate Professionals.

The class will be held at the UWF main campus and the tuition is $99. To register, call (850) 474-2914
