Choctaw Audubon Society meeting

The Choctawhatchee Audubon Society will meet Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Northwest Florida State College, Niceville LRC, in Room 128. Refreshments, socialization and conservation presentation begins at 6:30 p.m., formal presentation begins at 7 p.m. Non-members and children are welcome.
   
The topic is on the "History of the Coffeen Nature Preserve." Susan Burch Paladini, resident manager for Coffeen Nature preserve in South Walton County, will talk about the transformation from WWII missile launch site to Nature Preserve.
