Golf fundraiser still seeking teams

PANAMA CITY BEACH - Players and sponsors still are being sought for the inaugural Cops 'n' Kids Golf Tournament, Panama City Beach police officials said this week.

The tournament, which will be at the Holiday Golf Club on Sept. 12, supports local charities. Money raised will fund the Holiday Helper program, which feeds more than 100 needy families on Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as several local sports teams and safety items (such as child safety seats) for needy families, Beach officials said.

Anyone interested in becoming part of this event should call the Beach Police Department at (850) 233-5020 for more information.
