'Sleeping Beauty' awakens summer at Seaside theater

SEASIDE - For the seventh consecutive year, the Seaside Repertory Theatre will present a summer family production in the Seaside Amphitheatre.

This year's offering is "Sleeping Beauty" (Dornroschen), which will open at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 2, and run each Monday after that through Aug. 11. It is presented free of charge to the public thanks to a grant from the Merchants of Seaside.

"Sleeping Beauty" is the classic retelling of the tale, told with tongue in cheek, but still capturing the sweetness and softness that is at its heart. It is sure to entertain children of all ages, with a little magic included for the parents as well.

For more information about the Rep and its programming, visit www.seasiderep.org, or call the box office at (850) 231-0733.
