The Towne of Seahaven, will offer a return to simpler times that embraces community interaction within a pedestrian village, prompting entertainment and experiences for all ages and all generations.

The Towne of Seahaven recently unveiled the first eight tenants as part of the fabric of the community, an intricate blend of eclectic retail, restaurant and nightlife. With a lineup of tenants that promises not to disappoint, Phase 1 of The Village of Seahaven will include a total of 17 tenants.

Spanning 52 acres along the Gulf of Mexico, The Towne of Seahaven is a pedestrian-friendly beachside village that promises to redefine Panama City Beach by offering a resort destination experience unrivaled on the entire Emerald Coast.

Upon its completion, The Towne of Seahaven will offer a variety of residential opportunities, specialty retailers, eateries, restaurants, nightlife, spa, conference space and hotels built around the 1400 feet of Gulf of Mexico beach frontage, a community lake and naturally existing wetlands that provide the property framework.

“We are really excited to be able to announce the first eight tenants that have joined The Towne of Seahaven,” said Kim Duke-Layden, commercial casting consultant for The Village of Seahaven. “As the first true beach-front resort village on the Emerald Coast, we are confident that The Village of Seahaven will be as big of an over all entertainment destination for both visitors and locals in the Panama City Beach area as Baytowne Wharf has been in Destin. The boutique style shopping, exquisite restaurants and varied entertainment venues will be frequented by many visitors to the Panama City Beach area, as well as the locals who live here.”

By creating a vibrant retail life catering to all ages and personal tastes, The Towne of Seahaven promises to sustain a cross-generational active daily life at the resort destination every day of the year.

The first tenant to open in the spring of 2008 is the streetside café located on the first floor of Origin, the community’s first luxury condominium tower situated just to the east of The Village of Seahaven. The suggested menu will include panini sandwiches, personal pan pizzas, fresh salads and fruits, an assortment of fresh baked pastries, desserts and hot and cold beverages, including cappuccino, beer and wine, plus an extensive selection of gelato, sorbets and Italian desserts. Inspired by the building’s South Seas theme, the café will incorporate a terrace area for outdoor dining to take advantage of the gulf side views and fresh gulf breeze. The owners of the café also plan to open a smaller eatery located directly in the heart of the village.

The eight new tenants recently announced include:

- Two full-service restaurants: Rum Runners, Johnny O' Quigley's Irish Pub & Grille

- Two eateries: Starbucks, Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar & Grill

- Four specialty retailers: Liz & Jane Clothes, The Seahaven Company Store, Uptown Beach, Beach Bling

Rum Runners

A key anchor to the village is Rum Runners, located at the entrance on the east side of the village, parallel to Front Beach Road. With spectacular gulf views on both floors, Rum Runners is a full-service restaurant and live entertainment venue offering a casual dining atmosphere featuring a mix of live entertainment and interactive customer participation in a tropical, Caribbean-style setting.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Rum Runners' menu boasts freshly prepared Rum infused Flaming Coconut Shrimp, Jerk Chicken and Trigger Fish New Orleans, along with an assortment of sandwiches, burgers, salads and appetizers. Renowned in their seven other locations for its dueling piano players and entertainers, owner Michael Scozzafave says the staff can frequently be seen interacting with customers, leading them into a variety of song and dance routines. Rum Runners has received tremendous popularity at its location at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort.

Johnny O' Quigley's Irish Pub & Grille

Another key anchor to the village is Johnny O’ Quigley’s Irish Pub & Grille, a family-friendly restaurant specializing in all made-by-scratch menu items, including Kansas City Style BBQ, smoked on site.

Located in the front of The Village of Seahaven running perpendicular to the beach and parallel to the main street, Johnny O’Quigley’s has a main dining room featuring an authentic-feeling old World Irish pub motif with mahogany wood booths, tables and barstools, a stone fireplace and an eclectic mix of antiques collected by owner, Johnny Fuller. The second floor will be very airy and open with great Gulf views as well as a state of the art sports bar, with several large screen TVs as well as individual programmable TV’s in every booth. Johnny O’Quigley’s will be serving lunch and dinner daily.

Starbucks

For those in search of a steamy espresso, refreshing chai tea or other beverage to quench your thirst, look no further than your neighborhood Starbucks at The Village of Seahaven. Whether you’re in the mood to hang out with friends, read the Sunday paper or surf the internet, Starbucks offers a full menu of blended cold and hot coffee drinks, brewed coffee from all over the world, frappuccinos, espressos, Tazo teas and other classic favorites.

Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar & Grill

If you’re looking for a way to beat the heat, stop in and share a good time at Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar & Grill, the famous New Orleans daiquiri and frozen drink bar. Enjoy a plethora of frozen concoctions including Hurricanes and margaritas, each drink blended and chilled to perfection.

A family-friendly eatery with plenty of café sidewalk seating, Fat Tuesday also offers a delectable menu of chargrilled burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken wings, nachos and other pub food. With a location at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin, Fat Tuesday is also a great place to watch your favorite game on its big, flat-screen television.

After a delicious lunch, spend the afternoon browsing through the specialty retailers located at the village.

Liz & Jane Clothes

With its flagship store in Panama City Beach and a boutique in Destin, Liz & Jane Clothes brings their signature look to The Village of Seahaven with a third location.

Liz and Jane Bennett started their own design label in 1989, a unique collection of casual, urban, natural, funky and chic clothing designed for maximum comfort. What began as a hobby between the two sister-in-laws, has grown into a thriving business that evolved from their own variation of the popular tie-dye look.

The Seahaven Company Store

For exclusive gifts, toys and beachwear that capture the Seahaven lifestyle, The Seahaven Company Store will carry everything from beach towels to quality logo T-shirts to keepsakes that you can treasure for a lifetime.

Uptown Beach

From Kim Brundage and Angie Nemecek, the owners of Mermaids Fashions located in The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin, Uptown Beach is an upscale, eclectic beach-inspired boutique featuring the collections of resort brand designers for women and trendy collections for young adults.

Offering resort brands including Havianas, Belldini, Cyrus, Metric, Da-Nang, Cap Madras, 3 sisters, Mat & Nat and many more, Uptown Beach offers casual fashions blending unique brands of contemporary and resort styles.

Beach Bling

In a “shabby chic” beach motif, the same owners of Uptown Beach, will also be opening Beach Bling, a ladies’ accessories store featuring sterling silver, unique designer and handmade moderately priced jewelry, as well as hats, handbags, belts and other accessory collections. From funky to formal and whimsical to bold, the perfect complement to any outfit can be discovered at Beach Bling.

Upon completion, The Towne of Seahaven will be a vibrant beachside community where both locals and guests can experience year-round village activities that offer a fresh sense of culture and adventure to Panama City Beach.
