Reward offered in school burglary

CRESTVIEW — Information leading to an arrest in the burglary at Walker Elementary School could mean a cash reward.

Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 to the anonymous caller who helps police solve the crime.

On Jan. 2, a school employee found the school’s main building at the school had been entered. Once inside, burglar targeted money in snack and soda machines. A portable building on school property was also entered.

The total amount of property taken and damage sustained was estimated at more than $10,000.

Anyone with information may call 863-TIPS. Tipsters may also call the Crestview Police Department’s investigations division at (850) 682-4157, or submit information online at www.emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com.
