Paint Santa Rosa

The Greater Navarre Beach Arts Association is coordinating a new art contest, “Paint Santa Rosa!”

The contest is open to all artists who are members of GNBAA or those who live in Santa Rosa County. Artists can submit artwork using watercolors, acrylics, oils, pastels and mixed media.

Artwork can be entered using the following categories as they represent of Santa Rosa County:

Beach Scene - A painting of the Gulf Islands National Seashore or a scene from the 12 mile coastal region of Navarre

River or Nature Scene - Includes Blackwater River area, Black Water Heritage Trail, rural scene in the county

Downtown Scene - Navarre, Milton, Bagdad, Jay or any local town scene

Animal Scene - Includes the Gulf Breeze Zoo or related/nature scene with wildlife found in the county

How to enter

Artists may enter one or all categories. Each entry may not be larger than 24” x 36” and smaller than 8” x 10”. Each entry will have a fee of $10 and must have an entry form from GNBAA’s website attached. Entries can be framed, but this is not required.

All entries must be received by Oct. 9. Entries can be delivered on Oct. 9 between 3 and 7 p.m.

All entries will be displayed at the Navarre Beach Fall Festival of the Arts Oct. 12-14. Prizes will be awarded. Winning paintings in each category will be displayed in the new Navarre Tourist Development Council building following the festival. Following this display, entries will be displayed at the Dragonfly Gallery in Milton.
