Santa coming to town

The Jolly Old Elf himself, St. Nick—also known as Santa Clause—will visit Alys Beach on Saturday, December 8!

Santa’s arrival just happens to coincide with Alys Beach’s annual “Alys in Winter Wonderland” party at Fonville Press.

“We are thrilled that Mr. Kringle has worked us into his extremely busy holiday schedule,” said Kelli Arnold, Recreation Manager at Alys Beach. “Really, his timing could not have been more perfect. But hey—he’s Santa, right?”

The festivities begin at 3 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. Before Santa arrives, party guests will decorate holiday cookies while enjoying hot cocoa and cider. Guests will also be given the opportunity to write their holiday “wish list” and then hand-deliver it to Santa Claus upon his arrival.

Santa will officially illuminate the Alys Beach Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m. A spokes-elf said that Santa is eager to take photos with good little boys and girls.

The “Alys in Winter Wonderland” party is free and open to the public, although Santa encourages guests to bring a toy or canned good item to share with those who are less fortunate. Santa will give all donated items to “Caring and Sharing of South Walton,” a non-profit organization dedicated to helping out those in need in our local area.
