Mid-Bay Bridge and Garcon Point Toll Plaza Work Begins

DESTIN - Maintenance work at toll plazas in Okaloosa and Santa Rosa counties will begin Monday, Aug. 4. Oglesby Construction, Inc will be removing existing markings, installing flexible delineators, tubular delineators, raised pavement markings (RPMs) and applying final pavement markings at both facilities.

Work begins at the Mid Bay Bridge Toll Plaza Monday, Aug. 4, and continues through Wednesday, Aug. 6. Nighttime lane closures for north and southbound traffic will be 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be two plaza lanes open for both north and southbound traffic at all times.

Work on the Garcon Point Toll Plaza will take place Wednesday, Aug. 6 and Thursday, Aug. 7, with completion Sunday, Aug. 10. Lane closures for north and southbound traffic will be between 11p.m. and 6 a.m. There will be at least one plaza lane for northbound traffic and one plaza lane for southbound traffic open at all times.  

Motorists are reminded to use caution and obey the posted speed limit when traveling through a work zone.
