Beal Parkway Traffic Crash

car wreck

The Fort Walton Beach Police Department continues to investigate a traffic accident that occurred on Beal Parkway this morning around 8:42 a.m.

According to witnesses, 21-year-old Trent Tucker was driving his 2001 Oldsmobile north on Beal Parkway recklessly and at a high rate of speed when the right tire of his vehicle struck the curb, causing him to lose control and travel into the southbound lanes of Beal Parkway.

Upon entering the southbound lanes, Tucker’s vehicle was struck on the left side by a southbound 2005 International Truck owned by “Navarre Lumber and Supply”.

Tucker was flown by Gulf Flight 1 to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola where he is currently listed in “Guarded” condition in the Intensive Care Unit. His passenger, 21-year-old James Cliburn, was transported by ambulance to the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center where he is being treated for non-life threatening head injuries. The driver of the truck, Timothy Moore, was not injured.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
