Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge Hosts Member's Day Open House
DESTIN - Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge (ECWR) is hosting a Member's Day Open House on Saturday, May 17 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 406 Mountain Drive in Destin.
Met the ECWR Animal Ambassadors and preview their original artwork. Tour the ECWR facility, including the nursery. Jackson Guard and the Army Rangers will be on hand with their snakes. Meet the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Officers. Plus, kid's face painting will be available and the grill will be fired up.
Snacks will be provided.
"We are grateful for all of our members and want to recognize their generosity with a special open house," said Amanda Wilkerson, ECWR President. As a non-profit organization, membership funds and donations allow us to care for the growing number of local wildlife in need. This event will give each member a chance to see the lives that their donations have helped save."
New members are welcome and invited. Starting at only $25 annually, all memberships include ECWR's quarterly newsletter along with the satisfaction of knowing you have helped make a difference in our community.
The mission of ECWR is the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned and injured wildlife and to educate the public on Florida's natural fauna.
