PENSACOLA - Dive into the depths of an underwater adventure as Deep Sea debuts on Monday, Jan. 14 at the National Naval Aviation Museum’s IMAX® theatre. Plunge below the ocean surface to swim alongside some of the planet's most unique, colorful and fascinating creatures.

Face off with a wolf eel, hunt with a hungry sand tiger shark and dodge hundreds of marauding Humboldt squids. Advanced technology and filming techniques will allow viewers to feel as though they are actually swimming with these incredible creatures.

Filmed over two years in nine enticing locations from Hawaii to British Columbia, Deep Sea is directed by world-renowned underwater cinematographer Howard Hall and narrated by two of Hollywood's hottest stars, Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.

In addition to Deep Sea, museum visitors have the choice of three other IMAX® films including Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag, The Magic of Flight and Hurricane on the Bayou. Directed by two-time Academy Award-nominated producer/director Greg MacGillivray, Hurricane on the Bayou received national acclaim and won three distinguished honors at the 2007 Giant Screen Cinema Awards: Best Film of the Year, Best Soundtrack and Best Film for Lifelong Learning. IMAX® movies show each hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

After the movie, take a tour and experience hands-on history at the National Naval Aviation Museum with nearly 300,000 feet of exhibit space featuring more than 150 beautifully restored aircraft, artifacts and memorabilia. These remarkable exhibits tell the story of nine decades of U.S. Navy, Marine and Coast Guard aviation.

Experience the thrill of flight in the Top Gun F-14 flight simulator, take a walk down Main Street USA in 1943, browse the Flight Deck Museum Store and refresh with a tasty snack at the authentic Cubi Bar Café. Decorated with more than 1,000 squadron and unit plaques salvaged from the historic Officers' Club at Cubi Point in the Philippines, the café offers a unique dining experience. Visitors can also enjoy authentic Pilipino recipes including Chicken Adobo on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Chicken Pancit each Wednesday.

Admission to the museum is free, and IMAX® movie tickets begin at $7.50. Combo specials are also available. For more museum and theater information, visit http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org.
