Police arrest three on meth charges
Police arrested three people Friday on methamphetamine charges. DeFuniak Springs police arrested A. Nelson, 23, and Angel Contreras, 31, after officers discovered a meth lab at a home at 330 E. Main Ave., according to a news release.
Nelson and Contreras are charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (more than 200 grams), possession of precursor chemicals, manufacturing methamphetamine within 100 feet of a church and possession of paraphernalia. They were also charged with child abuse because children live at the home, according to the release.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the case.
Police also arrested Marci A. Cook at 316 S. 19th St. on Friday. Cook, 31, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release stated.
