Mardi Gras is back on the Island

After three long years it’s finally back! Mardi Gras on the Island will officially return, on January 19, 2008! The Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce has a huge selection of activities for everyone to enjoy!

The fun begins at 10 a.m. at the Emerald Coast Conference Center for the Mardi Gras Festival! There will be food, games, costumes, music and a host of children’s activities.

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. on Santa Rosa Blvd. There will be more than 70 themed floats, and all will come with beads to throw to the crowd.

From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., at the Emerald Coast Conference Center, the adults can enjoy the Carnivale Ball. Be sure to wear either a Mardi Gras costume or black tie! The event will feature, not only dancing, but also live music and the best cuisine throughout the Emerald Coast!
