Joust Read Medieval Fair

The Fort Walton Beach Library invites children of the kingdom to Joust Read: a Medieval Fair Saturday, May 19 at 1 p.m. at the City Auditorium and athletic fields behind City Hall.

Sponsored by a Target Childhood Reading Grant, Joust Read is a celebration of literacy and medieval culture. Orlando based Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth will kick off the event with a theatrical performance of “The Legend of King Arthur.”

An outdoor fair follows with activity stations, face painting, and fighting demos by the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA).
