WaterColor Inn and Resort earns honor

The Preferred Hotel Group has honored the WaterColor Inn and Resort with a certificate of excellence for its commitment to environmental stewardship, according to a release.

The inn participates in Florida’s voluntary Green Lodging program, which encourages hotels to adopt green practices that reduce waste, protect natural resources and conserve energy.

In conjunction with the honor, the Uebberoth Family Foundation has pledged $5,000 to support the Choctawatchee Basin Alliance, a charity chosen by WaterColor.
