Flag Ceremony to honor Law Enforcement Week and Memorial Day

Uptown Station in Fort Walton Beach hosting a flag raising ceremony with the Fort Walton Beach Police Honor Guard in celebration of Law Enforcement Week and Memorial Day on Friday, May 23 at 11:45 a.m. in Central Park at Uptown Station.

The Honor Guard from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, in full ceremonial uniform, will march the new 50'x 80' Stars and Stripes to the 170' flagpole and raise it to full staff.

The flagpole was dedicated to all members of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, EMS and all other First Responders during a ceremony last November.

The Stars and Stripes flies proudly over Uptown Station at all times and will be raised with the Honor Guard on special occasions throughout the year.
