Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship Program
Several area Bay County students have been named a Commended Student in
the 2008 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Rutherford High School: Kylee Clyatt - Kylee is the daughter of Rhonda Clyatt; an International Baccalaureate student; a varsity volleyball/varsity soccer player; the Mu Alpha Theta Treasurer; and member of the National Honor Society.
A. Crawford Mosley High School: Sierra J. Seaman, Katie B. Tison, and Jessica R. Wildes - each are members of Mosley's Advanced Program for Success (MAPPS) and are highly intelligent, high achieving, and college bound leaders at Mosley.
ay High School: Nicholas Jernigan - Nicholas is a member of the AICE Class of 2008 and president of Bay High's Interact Club.
Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being
recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the 2008 competition by taking the 2006 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
