Firefighters called to mall for hidden cigarette

By ROBBYN BROOKS, Florida Freedom Newspapers

Hidden cigarettes, which were still smoldering, caused a commotion at the Santa Rosa Mall Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters from the Mary Esther Fire Department and Fort Walton Beach Fire Department were called to a possible fire at the mall and found cigarettes stuffed in a crack between a wall and some sheet rock near Ruby Tuesday.

There was no damage, however, there easily could have been if the cigarettes fell further in the sheetrock and ignited a blaze, the Mary Esther Fire Department reported.
