1 Dead, 1 Injured in 3-Car Wreck

A Panama City woman was killed and a Tallahassee man was seriously injured Friday night in a three-vehicle accident on Highway 98 in Walton County.

Baheejah T. Jackson, 26, was driving a Mitsubishi westbound in the inside eastbound lane near Inlet Beach at about 9:30 p.m. when he collided with an eastbound Buick driven by 75-year-old Ruth J. Lakey, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

An eastbound pickup truck also hit Lakey’s car on the right side, an FHP press release stated. The truck’s driver, 69-year-old Russell C. Mann of Gulf Breeze, was not injured.

Charges are pending.
