Cigarette butt sparks road rage incident
A cigarette tossed from a teenager’s car apparently incensed a man so much that he pulled over and banged his door into her door five times.
Erica Leigh Joslin, 19, of Crestview, was driving south on Lewis Turner Boulevard when she threw out a cigarette that bounced and hit a van behind her, angering the driver, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff ’s Office offense report.
When Joslin pulled over so her friends could change seats, so did the driver of the van. The driver pulled out a knife, threatened to kill them and then proceeded to bang his door into the side of Joslin’s car, the report stated.
The van is described as a dark green with magnets on its sides. The driver is described as a white man with two gold teeth.
