Woman yells obscenities at deputy, gets arrested
A woman fought back against deputies and was arrested on New Year's Eve after the car she was a passenger in was pulled over for reckless driving.
When asked by deputies to exit the car, she remained seated with the door locked, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office offense report.
A deputy attempted to open the door and she responded, “I’m getting the (expletive) out,” the report said.
She became “belligerent” as she opened the door and yelled, “Get the (expletive) out of my face.”
She then approached the deputy yelling the same statement.
When asked to move to the back of the vehicle, she responded, “You ain’t gonna talk to me like that.”
The woman then shoved the deputy, according to the report.
“She was placed on the trunk of the vehicle and secured in handcuffs,” continuing to yell obscenities, the report stated.
The screaming woman, 19, was arrested for resisting an officer with violence.
A deputy smelled alcohol on another passenger who appeared to be underage.
The passenger admitted to being under the influence of alcohol, but gave the deputies a fake name.
A record check and aid from another passenger in the car properly identified the male as a juvenile on probation.
The juvenile was arrested for possession of liquor by a person under 21 years of age, providing a false name and violation of probation.
He was later released into the custody of his mother, the report stated.
The driver, a 19-year-old male, was arrested for reckless driving and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, according to the report.
A fourth person was questioned and later released.
A deputy first noticed the sound of a vehicle accelerating near Anderson Drive in Fort Walton Beach and then saw a Chevrolet Malibu that appeared to be speeding.
The deputy became concerned that the driver of the Malibu could possibly injure another nearby deputy and was eventually able to flag the car down.
