The Zoo Northwest Florida has received a 12-year-old male giraffe named Colby. Colby is 18 feet tall and weighs about 2,000 pounds, according to a news release.
Colby is on loan from a zoo in South Florida for a breeding program, the release stated.
Colby will go on display for feeding May 10, but he will be publicly unveiled at a Longneck Party preview from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $30 per person and $50 for couples. The price includes admission and two drink tickets.
