Work scheduled for bridges’ toll plazas

Work on the toll plazas of the Mid-Bay Bridge and Garcon Point Bridge will begin Sunday and last through Aug. 3, the state Department of Transportation has announced.
  
Work on the Mid-Bay Bridge toll plaza will begin Sunday and continue through Tuesday. Lane closures for northbound and southbound traffic will occur between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., but two lanes will be open in both directions at all times.
   
Work on the Garcon Point Bridge plaza will be done next Wednesday and Thursday and Aug. 3. Lane closures also will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., but one lane in each direction will remain open.
   
Crews will remove existing markings, install lane delineation poles and raised pavement markings, and apply final pavement markings at both plazas.
