Girl charged for hitting woman's babysitter
A 17-year-old girl has told investigators she went to a residence on Revere Drive intending to fight a babysitter there, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.
Chelsea Maria Bommarito now faces a felony charge for burglary of an occupied dwelling with battery in the Nov. 4 incident. She was charged Thursday.
Around 6:20 p.m. that night, a deputy responded to the residence, where a mother said Bommarito and another person “entered into her residence while she was away and battered her babysitter… in the presence of her four children,” according to the report.
Later the same night, Bommarito told a deputy she went there with the intent to fight, but the babysitter didn’t want to. She said she continued to argue with the babysitter and finally struck her in the face.
Bommarito said that “after she beat her (up),” she left.
The female who accompanied Bommarito in the incident is listed as a co-defendant.
