Beach Restoration Dredging Ends

The dredging portion of the the beach restoration project at Crystal Beach was completed Sunday, June 24.

During the two-month construction period, 33 turtles were relocated; only one turtle was taken.

The demobilization of equipment along the beaches will take another 7 to 10 days. Sea oat planting and sand fencing activities are projected to be completed by July 31.
