Air Force F-16 Demonstration Team visits Panama City
The Air Force Viper West Demonstration Team will be in the Panama City area during the upcoming Gulf Coast Salute to America’s Heroes Air Show March 24.
The Viper West demonstration team flies the F-16 Fighting Falcon and is one of two F-16 demonstration teams in country. The F-16CG is a single-seat, multi-mission fighter with the ability to switch from an air-to-ground to air-to-air role at the touch of a button. With its lightweight airframe and powerful General Electric engine generating 28,000 pounds of thrust, the single engine produces more horsepower than the entire starting lineup of the Indianapolis 500.
The team will showcase the superior performance of the aircraft and its personnel at the Tyndall Air Show. Air Show admission and parking are free, and gates open to the public at 9 a.m.
