Man charged with trying to run over 3

FORT WALTON BEACH — A Shalimar man has been arrested after trying to run over three people with his car, according to police.

A month before his arrest on Dec. 30, 17-year-old Brandon Jack Adams got into an argument with employees of Kingdom Motors/EZ Rental in Fort Walton Beach. Adams started to leave the business and drove toward the others, “forcing one staff member to flee to avoid being struck,” according to a Fort Walton Beach police report.

The report stated the other two employees believed they would have been struck if the vehicle did not turn at the very last second.

Adams was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
